The Space Between Collective
BAMM Regional Art Fair
The Space Between is perceived as both subject and experience in large scale contemporary abstract images. Space becomes a physical metaphor exploring easements and places where presence dissolves into absence and rhythmic movement lingers between gesture and stillness. Inherited places are reimagined as cultural symbols reflecting identity and belonging across transitions of time. Intuitive mark making and layered colour define gestural forms to reflect a space between where an ancestral past, present experiences and unknown futures merge. The space between exists beyond mere geography, rather it depicts places in states of becoming, encouraging viewers to enter the space between the seen and the felt, where meaning is fluid and transformation is continually unfolding.
